Monday quiz: How Satisfying Is Your Life?

nanodeficitThe NaNo is kicking my butt. I’m lagging behind. The best daily word count I’ve managed to hit has been in the 1400s. And I don’t seem to be getting any sympathy, let alone support. When I grumbled, on Saturday night, Terry said I could catch up with one good writing day – Sunday. The one thing I caught up with on Sunday was the washing up, to which neither roommate lent as much as a finger, let alone a hand.

There’s a big all-day write-in in Chelmsford next Sunday, and despite never having been around there, I’m sorely tempted to put up with the inconvenience and go, just for the chance to get a few hours’ uninterrupted writing.

Your Life is Unsatisfying

It seems like your life has hit a rough patch, and you’re really not enjoying things the way you should.
There’s a good chance you are depressed, because little is making you happy these days.

Consider seeking counseling or changing things up a bit. You need a new point of view.
You need to connect more deeply with the world around you to feel truly satisfied in life.

Take it!

Don’t let the writing get you down! It’s supposed to be fun. If it becomes a slave-driver, leave it behind. You have enough going on in your life without having to worry about joylessly pumping out a couple thousand words a day.

Glad to see you stop by, Punkin. What’s getting me down is not the writing itself but the lack of a) enough time to indulge in it, and b) support for a project that is only mine and not family-related. If I give it up, it will only give me some more time to be gobbled up by drudgery…
